About Us

Welcome to The Antique Polishers.

Come and peek through our shop windows!

For over 20 years Ross has been a qualified painter and ran his own successful painting company that was until his love of antiques and old wares took over.  Through his keen eye and his special attention to detail his passion rapidly grew and his commitment to restoring old furniture has rewarded him by producing quality restoration pieces of furniture.

As with most hobbies, Ross started in the back yard of his own home at Holland Park doing up Antiques for himself which soon lead to family and friends offering to buy his beautiful pieces to furnish their homes.  His reputation for quality and authenticity quickly spread and he was soon approached by others with a desire of all things nostalgic. It wasn’t long before Antique Stores where approaching him to snap up his restored items to sell in their stores.

With years of sand dust in his veins it was only natural that both Ross’s boys Adam and Luke would also learn the Antique restoration trade from an early age. Following in their father’s footsteps both boys have developed a passion and love for the Antique industry where they share a joy of seeing old pieces brought to life again. Ross and his two sons Adam and Luke have completed various courses at college including a speciality lead light course to learn how to repair leadlight.  Through their love of Antique and restoration Adam and Luke went on to further their skills and have both successfully finished a cabinet making course at college.  After their completion of their course Adam and Luke became qualified cabinet makers and continue today to derive much personal satisfaction in the making of furniture and their hunger for restoring old Antiques.

Adam and Luke have a particular eye for old disregarded furniture and are able to revamp  old pieces and turn them into beautiful and functional pieces of furniture that add that old world charm to any home.  They both specialise in custom-made furniture, making pieces to your desired length and size.  The quality and stunning workmanship that this family has and continues to produce can be found through this site with recent photos of their achievements proudly displayed.

With 3 boys all sharing the backyard it was time to set up shop and our first shop was at Woolloongabba where we sold and established ourselves in the Antique trade.  We then moved into our own  premises at 46 Days Grange 4051 which is where our Antique shop is today.  Our Antique shop is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10am till 4.30pm and Thursday nights until 7pm.  Closed Monday and Tuesdays.  We have a wide range of Antiques and old wares for sale.  Come and have a stroll through our shop you never know what you will find.
